Assistance with revision is given during the lessons preceding exams in Years 3 and 4. Further up the school in addition to preparation in lessons an increasing amount of guided revision is expected to be completed by pupils in their own time. Guidance is given to the children by their subject teachers and also via the website to enable parents to monitor, guide and assist their children.

For the boarding pupils in their final year an evening study programme is organised from the autumn term onwards.  Revision sessions are held on weekday evenings (on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays leading up to the Mock Exams in February and again leading up to Common Entrance Exams in June) led by resident members of staff.  These sessions last for 45 minutes starting at 6.30pm.

For all boarding children a revision programme is followed in the two weeks prior to the internal examinations in the summer term.  Once again, sessions are held in all subjects and are led by resident members

The importance of private study is recognised and the pupils’ ability to work on their own is a skill that the school is keen to foster. Study sessions are available during 5.00-6.00pm activity times for those pupils approaching exams.
