Raising Money for Charities
The charity we are supporting this year is the Chiltern Centre for Disabled Children. It is based in Henley and provides much needed respite care for parents with disabled children, including families with children at the Oratory Prep.
Raising Money for the School
In the past, FOPS has raised money for:
- Two wheelchair ramps which can be rolled up for storage and set down wherever needed.
- A data display board (next to the pre-prep gates), which gives information on matches, reminders, tickets for events, etc.
- Outdoor play equipment, primarily for the pre-prep children.
- Violins for the Music Department so that one whole year group can learn an instrument for a year.
- Stage make-up
- Crockery for social events
- Sports equipment
- Theatre equipment including sound and DVD recorder
This year our aim is to raise money for new outdoor play equipment for the prep school. It’s going to cost £25,000 so we’ve got a lot of work to do!
We have already raised about £15,000 towards the playground...
