Overseas students are welcome at the Oratory Preparatory School and we currently have several children from Spain, France and Hong Kong, who board on a full-time basis. We have also had children from Korea, Poland and Russia to name a few.
Many foreign students have very little English at the start of the school year but we offer specialist English lessons for these students with our (English as an additional language) EAL teacher.
In addition to this, our international children are very strongly encouraged to speak English whilst living in the boarding house. The OPS have imposed a non-English speaking reward and default system which facilitates their integration with their peers and helps with their academic studies.
